Michael Caolo, Jr. has practiced business and entrepreneurial law for more than 35 years and has a long and successful business history with his own entrepreneurial enterprises such that he understands the entrepreneur’s challenges, requirements and objectives.

Michael was educated at the University of Notre Dame with a major in Political Science and a minor in Soviet Foreign Relations where he received his Bachelor of Arts and Letters Degree, was on the Dean’s Academic List and was a member of the Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honor Society, the Texas Club and was active in student government. After being awarded an academic scholarship and attending the University of Notre Dame Law School, Michael transferred to the University of Texas School of Law in Austin and received his Doctorate of Jurisprudence Degree. He served as the Chief Clerk for the Criminal Jurisprudence Committee in the Texas State House of Representatives and also served on the staff of the Texas Law Forum and was the founder of the Minority Recruitment Committee for the University of Texas School of Law.

Upon graduation, Michael joined the Dallas law firm of Akin, Gump, Strauss, Hauer and Feld in the Corporate Section working on business law transactions, securities filings with the SEC, mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructuring, private placements, bank credit facilities, commercial loans, corporate governance, contracts and agreements.

After practicing ten years with Akin Gump, Michael formed his own Dallas law firm, Michael Caolo & Associates, concentrating on small business law representing start-up companies, transaction-oriented entrepreneurs and emerging growth businesses where he provided corporate counsel and business advice to the principals and their businesses. Serving as Managing Partner over fourteen years, Michael grew his firm, Caolo, Bell & Nunnally, to approximately 35 attorneys and 75 employees, whereupon he withdrew from his firm to specialize in representing small business owners and entrepreneurs and continues to this day.
